Everything we do for your brand, in one place.

Citrus Legal is a flat-fee law firm in St. Pete, Florida. We clear, register, answer for and keep trademarks for founders nationwide, and we write and redline contracts for Florida businesses.

Every fee is quoted in writing before any work begins. USPTO fees are separate and paid to the government. Every matter is handled by the attorney.

The cheapest moment to find out a name won’t work is before the logo, the labels and the ads.

  • Trademark search and opinion

Federal records, all fifty states and real-world use, read the way the USPTO reads it, with a written opinion on the risk. One courtesy search of a second name if the first comes back high risk. Credits toward Grove or Harvest within 14 days.

When names collide

Enforce it

Most name disputes end with a letter. We write yours, or answer the one you got.

  • Send a cease and desist

We confirm your rights, document their use, and send a letter on our letterhead asking for exactly what you want, with one round of replies.

    from $850
  • Answer a cease and desist

We check their registration and who used the name first, tell you your options in writing, and draft the response.
    Cease and desist letters

    from $1,100

What we don’t do: oppositions and cancellations at the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and lawsuits. If a dispute heads there, we’ll tell you early and help you find counsel who handles it.

Questions

Before you pick a service

Are USPTO fees included in your prices?

No. Our fees cover the legal work. USPTO fees go to the government, are the same no matter who files, and are listed next to every service that needs one.

I filed my trademark myself. Can you take over?

Yes. We file a short form making us your attorney of record, then handle the Office Action, Statement of Use or whatever comes next.

Do you handle oppositions or lawsuits?

No. We don’t take Trademark Trial and Appeal Board proceedings or litigation. If your matter is heading that way, we’ll say so early and help you find counsel who handles it.

Do you work outside Florida?

Trademark work is federal, so we work with founders in every state. Contract work is for Florida businesses.

What’s the difference between Grove and Harvest?

Both take you from search to certificate in up to two classes. Harvest also covers substantive Office Actions, the refusals that need a legal argument. The search tells you how likely you are to need one.

Do I have to get on a call?

No. You can start online, ask questions by email and get everything in writing.

Not sure which one you need?

Tell us what’s going on in a few lines. We’ll point you to the right service and quote it in writing.
