Citrus Legal, PLLC (“Citrus Legal,” “we,” or “us”) respects your privacy. This policy describes the information we collect through citrus.legal (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices available to you. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you provide. When you contact us, schedule a consultation, or request a download, you may provide your name, email address, how you heard about us, and any details you choose to share about your business or legal matter.

How you found us. To understand which of our efforts actually reach people, the Site notes how you arrived: the website that sent you (for example a search engine, an AI assistant such as ChatGPT, or a social media site), any campaign tags in the link you followed, and the first page you landed on. This note is kept in your own browser and is not shared with advertisers. If you send us a message, start an order or book a consultation, it is sent to us along with what you submit, so we know how you found us.

Information collected automatically. When you visit the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the website that referred you, and the dates and times of your visits. This information is collected through cookies and similar technologies, described below.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiries, understand how people find us so we can improve the Site and make better offerings, schedule and conduct consultations, check for conflicts of interest, send you materials you request, operate, maintain and improve the Site, measure the effectiveness of our advertising, protect the security of the Site, and comply with legal and professional obligations.

We do not sell your personal information.

Sharing of information

We may share your information with trusted third-party service providers that perform services on our behalf, such as website hosting, scheduling, email delivery, analytics and advertising. These providers are permitted to use your information only to provide those services. We may also disclose information when required by law, court order or the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Citrus Legal or others.

Cookies

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies (such as pixels, tags and browser storage). Some are essential and always on, first-party only: they make the Site work, remember your cookie choice, carry your progress through our order form, and keep the note of how you found us described above (stored in your browser for up to 90 days). Essential items are never shared with advertising or analytics companies. The others are analytics and advertising tools from third parties, and they run only if you click “Accept all” on our cookie banner. If you click “Reject non-essential,” they do not load.

With your consent, we use:

• Meta Pixel, provided by Meta Platforms, Inc., to measure our ads on Facebook and Instagram and show ads to people who have visited the Site. Meta and other third parties may use cookies, web beacons and similar technologies on the Site to collect or receive information from it and elsewhere on the internet, and use that information to provide measurement services and target ads. • OpenAI Ads pixel, provided by OpenAI, to measure our ads in ChatGPT, such as whether a visitor who saw or clicked an ad later started an order or reached out. See the OpenAI Privacy Policy (opens in a new tab).
• Microsoft Clarity, provided by Microsoft Corporation. We partner with Microsoft Clarity and Microsoft Advertising to capture how you use and interact with the Site through behavioral metrics, heatmaps and session replay, to improve the Site and our marketing. Session replay records your mouse movements, clicks, scrolling and the pages you visit. Website usage data is captured using first-party and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies. These third parties may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site.

Changing your choice. You can change your cookie choice at any time: reopen cookie preferences. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings. To opt out of interest-based advertising from participating companies, visit aboutads.info/choices (opens in a new tab), and manage how Meta uses your activity in the Accounts Center settings for Facebook and Instagram.

Do Not Track. The Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals. Analytics and advertising tools still run only if you click “Accept all.”

Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, subject to our legal and professional obligations to retain certain records. Contacting us through the Site does not create an attorney-client relationship. Please do not send confidential information until we have confirmed in writing that we can represent you.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, to comply with the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar and applicable law, and to resolve disputes.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

External links

The Site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites and encourage you to review their policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
